A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the messages sent to nonexistent email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss messages because the other side has an obsolete address or has made a typographical error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk emails, but this issue can be resolved using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot forward inbound email messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox with ease in case you’ve got a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet stunningly easy to work with, and it will allow you to enable various features, including the catch-all one, with only a few mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will find a small "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each email address that you have set up with your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you decide that you do not need this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
